Can kitchen hardware be antique brass if the refrigerator and viking stove are stainless steel?
I also plan to do lighting and kitchen faucets in an antique brass finish. The cabinets are inset cabinets with the antique brass hinges showing as well.

- My personal opinion says this would be "super tacky". Plumbing companies are making beautiful stainless and brushed steel faucets these days, as well as cabinent hardware. Look into that option.
- Its your kitchen. I, however, would try and keep everything in the same color family-I think Brass and Stainless together would look wrong.
- That sounds nice...if you like that mismatched couldn't make up your mind which way to go look. Brass and stainless....my answer is no.
- Every one decorates differently, but I don't think with the other coordinating pieces that have antique brass with stainless steel will be that big of a deal difference. Enjoy!
- Why dont you add a touch of stainless steel to the lighting to blend in with the refrigerator and stove...these two metals are very modern and striking featured together......(smaller kitchen appliances on bench tops..stainless steel )...very trendy..good luck
- I think the hardware and lighting need to be brushed nickel. The antique brass would clash with the stainless.
- Everyone likes different things; it doesn't always have to be "matchy-matchy" to look nice. It's your kitchen do what you think looks good. My house was built in 1928 and when I remodeled I tried to keep things looking old fashioned to match the house. I used glass knobs and cabinet pulls with all white aplliances. Good Luck to you.
- the detirmining factor is ...what species and color is the wood cabinetrey. you could make the brass hinges and pulls work if it fits the look of the wood...hopefully you have an alder or mahogany cabinetry , stained in a medium tone.
- In my opinion, this would look hidious. The metals should all be the close to the same color.
