Is it possible to buy stylish kitchen lighting that uses low-energy bulbs?
They all seem to require halogen or small ordinary pearl bulbs. This goes for every plug-in silver/chrome spotlight system that catches my eye. What are you saying Princess? Or can anyone translate?

- yup but xp
- Yes, we have them in our kitchen, under lighting and ceiling lighting, we got all ours from B & Q and the local lighting shop. They are chrome and very trendy. Hope this helps
- Personally, I don't care for the look of the energy saving light bulbs, but I put dimmer switches on all of my kitchen lighting so that I could dim any light that I didn't need the full wattage. This also adds a romantic or cozy atmosphere to the room. It is a great way to keep the stylish lights, yet save on energy at the same time.
- Choose any fixture and use Compact Fluorescent Bulbs (which are the squiggly one like an incandescent). They cost more but they TONS more efficient in terms of cost, longevity, as well as better for the environment - less waste in landfills and AND CFLs use 50% to 80% less energy than their traditional counterparts. According to Roxanne Smith, press officer for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Washington, D.C., “If every home in America replaced just one incandescent light bulb with an Energy Star-qualified CFL, the United States would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of nearly 800,000 cars annually.”
